考虑二阶非线性椭圆型微分方程∑^n_{i,j}∂/∂x_i{A_{i,j}(x,y)∂/∂x_j}+q(x)f(y)=0 (E)，其中q(x)在外区域 Ω∈R\+n上变号. 利用偏Riccati变换和积分平均技巧, 建立了方程(E)所有解振动的充分准则.     

A new summation identity for the Srivastava-Singhal polynomials

In his recent investigations involving differential operators for some generalizations of the classical Laguerre polynomials, H. Bavinck [J. Phys. A Math. Gen. 29 (1996) L277-L279] encountered and proved a certain summation identity for the classical Laguerre polynomials. The main object of this sequel to Bavinck's work is to prove a generalization of this summation identity for the Srivastava-Singhal polynomials. The demonstration, which is presented here in the general case, differs markedly from the earlier proof given for the known special case. It is also indicated how the general summation identity can be applied to derive the corresponding result for one class of the Konhauser biorthogonal polynomials.     

Qualitative Theory and Identification of Dynamic System with One Degree of Freedom

Dynamic systems described by nonlinear differential equations of the second order are studied. It is assumed that certain preliminary information on the dissipative or elastic characteristics of systems is known. 第二类变型Bessel函数Kn(z)在自变量趋于无穷时就是指数变小的，使用多项式逼近的方法求解往往误差很大．采用指数变换和J．P．Boyd的有理Chebyshev多项式计算第二类变型Bessel函数，得到了令人满意的在较大范围内有效的解．     

A Possibility for Studying Gravitational Properties of the Neutrino

We consider the effect that the gravitational field of a neutrino pulse radiated in the collapse of presupernova nuclei has on the observable optical radiation spectra of atoms at the supernova surface. We show that at the modern level of development of experimental methods, neutrino monitoring supplemented by optical monitoring of supernova candidates provides a unique possibility to check whether the Einstein equivalence principle is satisfied for neutrinos of each of the three types (electron, muon, and tau-lepton) and their antiparticles, to estimate the change of the gravitational potential at the surface of the star at the instant of the neutrino radiation pulse, and to obtain upper limits on the mass values of these neutrinos in a new way.     

Maximal σ‐polynomials of connected 3‐chromatic graphs

In the set of graphs of order n and chromatic number k the following partial order relation is defined. One says that a graph G is less than a graph H if c_i(G) ≤ c_i(H) holds for every i, k ≤ i ≤ n and at least one inequality is strict, where c_i(G) denotes the number of i‐color partitions of G. In this paper the first ? n/2 ? levels of the diagram of the partially ordered set of connected 3‐chromatic graphs of order n are described. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Analysis and finite element simulations of a second‐order fluid model in a bounded domain

This article is concerned with the equations governing the steady motion of a viscoelastic incompressible second‐order fluid in a bounded domain. A new proof of existence and uniqueness of strong solutions is given. In addition, using appropriate finite element methods to approximate a coupled equivalent problem, sharp error estimates are obtained using a fixed point argument. The method is applied to the two‐dimensional lid‐driven cavity problem, at low Reynolds number and in a certain range of values of the viscoelastic parameters, to analyze the combined effects of inertia and viscoelasticity on the flow. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
